Curriculum

Acarkent Doğa High School offers the Turkish National curriculum, which is known for its rigor, particularly in math and sciences.  Upper level courses contain content similar to AP or A level courses.  German and Spanish are offered as second foreign language electives.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Program

Besides the rigorous Turkish National Curriculum, students who fulfil the criteria set by the school, can choose to study the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at the end of 10th grade.  Typically about 50% of a given class follow the distinct IBDP and simultaneously complete the requirements for the Turkish Anatolian High School Diploma (Anadolu Lisesi Diploması) during their final two years. Pearson Edexcel International General Certificate of Secondary Education

In 2013, Acarkent Doğa High School began offering International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) English courses to students in 9th and 10th grades.  The IGCSE is both a curriculum and an examination system.   International GCSE aims to extend students’ knowledge by broadening, deepening skills and abilities to comprehend and respond various materials from extended sources to make comparisons between texts and analyses. Our students will be able to learn about how to construct and convey meaning in written language that enables them for matching stylistic devices used by the authors and their purpose.

t-MBA (MBA for teenagers) Program

Doğa school students’ also receive a t-MBA Diploma, accredited by Pearson Edexcel. The t-MBA program is a special curriculum recognized by the Turkish Ministry of Education and students earn college credit for the classes and also get scholarship valid at universities. Doğa’s unique t-MBA program for 9th, 10th and 11th graders aims to develop motivated and innovative entrepreneurs and social leaders. The academic component of the t-MBA includes courses on Data Mining, Income and Finance Management, Management and Organization, Introduction to Law, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Introduction to Economy, International Business, Introduction to Marketing, Introduction to Human Resources, and System Dynamics. One of the pillars of the t-MBA Educational Model in the annual t-MBA Summit, where top executives from both Turkey and abroad deliver varied lectures to approximately 5,000 Doğa students.
